Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Remake

Attack-Killer-Tomatoes-RemakeAttack of the Killer Tomatoes is probably the poster child… nay… the flag ship movie of films that are so bad we love them! Just the title alone is worth of song and glory! And the funny thing is, for such a small, terrible (hilariously so) movie, almost everyone on the planet has heard the name. Well it appears if the “Ask A Ninja” guys have anything to say about it, you’ll be hearing the name a lot more as they’re aiming to bring us an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes remake!

The good folks over at Yahoo give us this:

Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, creators of the hit Web series “Ask a Ninja,” are writing an adaptation of the 1978 opus, with Nichols set to make his directorial debut. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! is the masterwork of a generation,” Nichols said. “We can only aspire to recapture that magic.” No changes to the original plot have been revealed, but it still is expected to revolve around genetically altered tomatoes on the warpath.

I have a feeling that even the most die hard opponents to the notion of “remakes” will open their hearts to this idea. Not only because it’s Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, but also (and maybe mainly) because it’s being cooked up by the Ninja guys. Ask a Ninja is probably one of the funniest thing to hit the interweb since that dancing Jean Claude Van Damne clips from Breakin 2 Electric Bogagloo.
