Before we even get to take a look at the next installment of the Mummy franchise,(The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) we get a little slip that there will be more of them.
according to the brand new Evey (Maria Bello), “[There will] absolutely be The Mummy 4.” She also went on to tell MTV that she has signed for not one, but three more sequels.
Now that she signed on for the sequels really doesn’t mean there will be a movie. Sometimes actors just act like the deal is already done to make the public bubble about it. When the fans start asking when the next one is, the studios start asking themselves if they should make one.
The fact that she is signed on for 3 more just means IF they make them, she is obligated to be in it. After the first Evey decided to bail out on the franchise, I am not surprised that the studio would want a prenup with Bello.
I will believe it when I see it. If The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor bombs, we just might not see it.
