Right off the bench of Friday Night Lights, one of the resident jocks will be trading in his jockstrap for a mall cop outfit. Jesse Plemmons joins Seth Rogan’s Observe and Report.
“Friday Night Lights” star Jesse Plemmons (Lance, um, I mean, Landy) will make the transition to the big screen with a role in the new Seth Rogen comedy, “Observe and Report”, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Anna Faris, Michael Pena (“World Trade Center”) and Ray Liotta have also joined the cast of the flick, which centers around Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen), a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against local cops (largely, Liotta’s character).
Seth Rogen as a cop was pretty funny in Superbad, and to see him as a mall security guard is even better.
I think the old lady with too much makeup that clears your tray in the food court gets more respect than mall security. At least the little old lady’s pants fit her.
Seth excells at playing the underdog, so this looks like it will be no different. I’ve become quite the Seth follower so I will remain hopeful in this. As for Plemmons, I can’t say.
Are you a Plemmons fan? Is this a good fit?
