It looks like the dashing Danny Devito will be stalking the magical pull of Kristen Bell in the upcoming When In Rome. We get the following scoop from the magical caves of yahoo:
Danny DeVito will woo Kristen Bell in his own inimitable style in Disney’s romantic comedy “When in Rome.” Bell (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) plays a love-starved New York curator who steals magical coins from a famous Roman fountain but soon finds herself in a bizarre situation when she is pursued back to New York by a band of aggressive suitors — the very people whose coins she took. DeVito will play one of the suitors.
He joins a supporting cast that already includes Will Arnett, Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Anjelica Huston and Dax Shepard. The studio shoots this month in New York. Mark Steven Johnson is directing.
I am saddened that Danny DeVito is not directing this one. I really like him as a director and am always interested in seeing his work. It will be good to see him in the film (he is hilarious) but when I heard about this story today, I was certainly hoping for some directorial action.
Kristen Bell lands another female lead in this one, and with just cause. She did well as the lead in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I reckon we will start to see her in a bevy of films; a bevy I say!
I am thrilled at the idea of magical coins causing attraction. That idea is cool as hell and adds an awesome twist to another romantic comedy coming down the pipe. I am wondering if she will figure out the magical power of the coins. Perhaps she will plant the coins of the suitors she is not interested in, on other lonely girls; playing magical match maker.
