Seth McFarlane continues to work on a Family Guy feature film; we get an update of the picture’s progress today thanks to moviehole:
Buried in a story about McFarlane’s new financially-pleasing deal with the network is the following:
“Beyond that, MacFarlane said he’d like to continue expanding his Fuzzy Door shingle to include multiple skeins and feature projects. And that includes a long-rumored “Family Guy” movie, which MacFarlane would like to produce in the next few years. There’s no firm plan yet, although any feature will likely center on homicidal toddler Stewie, he said.”
This should be welcome news for Family Guy fans. Sadly there is no concrete timeline or release date but “a few years” is not a bad amount of time to wait. It’s certainly better than no time frame at all. I will watch the Family Guy once and a while, I like some of the individual jokes in the show more than the show itself.
I would like to see a movie based around the FBI seizing Quagmire’s computer, and subsequent sentencing of 340 years for objectionable materials.
Would you guys like to see a Family Guy film in theaters, do you prefer it as a TV show, or would you prefer if you never saw it again?
