We have last weeks rental winners for you guys to check out, we discovered the following news from the murky caves of Yahoo:
“Untraceable,” a crime thriller starring Diane Lane, opened at No. 1 on the national DVD sales chart for the week ended May 18, and “Mad Money,” a comedy about three women who decide to rob the Federal Reserve Bank, was the No. 1 rental.
The “Adventures of Indiana Jones” boxed set came in at No. 3, and its three films also made the top 20 on an individual basis. The fourth movie, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” opened in North American theaters just after midnight Thursday. “Untraceable” followed at No. 2 with $6.9 million. “P.S. I Love You,” the previous week’s top rental, slipped to No. 3 with $5.9 million, while “Debaters” debuted at No. 4 with $5.5 million.
Untraceable kicked some ass! I would have picked The Debaters for the win, but I am just glad that Mad Money didn’t get the gold.
