It looks like Amy Winehouse will have to bail on the upcoming James Bond soundtrack – because she is in no shape to do anything. This disappointing news was brought to our attention thanks to the fabled caves of Yahoo:
Looks like Amy Winehouse isn’t ready for any kind of Bonding experience yet. In an interview with Britain’s Sky News, her producer, Mark Ronson, revealed that the Grammy-winning soul diva has stopped working on the new theme song for the latest 007 flick.
He said Winehouse is “not ready to record any music” and that it’s going to take “some miracle of science” to finish the two tracks for the upcoming Quantum of Solace.
Well this is a damn dirty shame. Winehouse has an outstanding voice and is a perfect songstress for a James Bond theme. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for her, and it’s quite sad that she will be unable to capitalize on it, because she’s too busy destroying herself.
I know crack is a tempting mistress, we would all like to sit under a willow tree and blow a rock; but it isn’t as rewarding as a James Bond title track. I feel regret for Ms. Winehouse and hope that she will be able to pull her shit together before she ends up dead in a ditch.
