We have been made aware of a nifty project called Youth In Revolt, thanks to our good friends over at comingsoon:
Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh have joined Michael Cera in Youth in Revolt, the Miguel Arteta-directed comedy for Dimension Films, says Variety. The film is based on the C.D. Payne novel, which was adapted by Gustin Nash, Arteta and Cera. David Permut is producing, and Steve Longi is co-producing with Miranda Freiberg.
Cera plays teenager Nick Twisp, who meets the girl of his dreams on a family vacation and destroys the trip trying to be with her. Buscemi will play his father.
Good, sweet; gracious. This magical cast is able to create a myriad of hilarious possibilities. M. Emmet Walsh was in The Jerk. The Jerk. ….and he was fucking fantastic. To see him work with this cast is a treat, and I couldn’t make my excitement any more apparent.
“Youth In Revolt” is a title akin to a propaganda piece, it is a title of action.
Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row needs to be played in this film, for real.
I am interested in this book; if any of you have read it – please share your thoughts with us. Also, what do you guys think of the cast?
