All Hail Megatron

According to our friends over at IESB, there is a new comic story arc with The Transformers coming out that falls within the “what if” category of things. The story is being called “All Hail Megatron” (more than just a title, they are words to live by my friends. Those… and “Kneel before Zod”. But I digress).

The basic idea is what happens to earth if the Autobots aren’t around to defend us from the evil decepticons and their leader Megatron?

As for its appeal to new fans, well, all you need to concern yourself with, according to writer Shane McCarthy, are “some very simple things. There is an ancient race of giant robots that are embroiled in a very old civil war; there are two factions to this civil war, the Deceptions (bad guys) and the Autobots (good guys); this civil war is raging across the galaxy on many different fronts; the war has found its way to our home planet.” And now one of these factions is missing.

I love this idea and eagerly await it’s release. Join me my friends in welcoming our new galactic overlord. All Hail Megatron!
