Everytime you see an interview with a former member of TV’s Friends, they always seem to get around to asking about how often they see each other. Well if this rumour is true, they might all be hanging out in one place again very soon.
Cinematical says there is a possibility of a Friends movie coming to the big screen:
a film based on the popular series has gotten the green light to start filming in the next year and a half, with all of the actors interested in reprising their roles — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer.
One of my favourite comedies of all time is The Whole Nine Yards with Matthew Perry and dare I say it, but he and Jennifer Aniston might just be the only ones with a real career anymore. And that isn’t say anything at all.
I think it would be cool to see them all back again in a TV special, but more because after so long on TV, you almost felt like these guys were your friends and you want to see them again. Just to have a few beers and catch up.
But I wonder if this is true, does the success of the Sex and the City Movie pushing this to the bigscreen instead of a TV Reunion event where it belongs? Sex and the City had a rabid following. Like Star Trek conventions in the 80s, but for girls.
But as popular as Friends was, does it deserve a feature film?
