Star Wars: Clone Wars Premiering At Hollywood Egyptian Theater

Star Wars films have a history of having their big premiere on Hollywood Boulevard here in Hollywood… but usually up the street at the historical Mann’s Chinese. This one will be up the road a bit at it’s cousin theater… the beautiful Egyptian theater. Yahoo News gives us this:

The animated tale “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will have its world premiere at the Egyptian Theatre along Hollywood Boulevard on Aug. 10, five days before it opens in theaters. Lucasfilm announced the premiere Wednesday.

The tickets are only available to American Cinematheque until July 23rd and then after that (if there are any tickets left), tickets will be available to the general public.

I’ve never attended a Star Wars premiere in my life (Ok ok ok, this isn’t a REAL Star Wars movie… but still) and I fully intend to be at this one. You’ve got to understand, my earliest childhood memory is of my mom taking me to see Star Wars as a child, and I remember seeing images of the big premiere at the Chinese theater. Yeah… I’m not going to miss this.
