J.J. Abrams isn’t done knocking down buildings on film yet. But this time instead of using a giant monster, he will be using a force of nature. An Earthquake.
Producer J.J. Abrams and screenwriter David Seltzer (The Omen) are working together to make a disaster film for Universal involving an earthquake, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade says the project is untitled and not intended to be a remake of Universal’s 1974 movie Earthquake.
Not a whole lot else is known about this just yet but in true Cloverfield style, the movie buzz is starting before we even get a title. The only other thing we know is what it isn’t. A remake.
So let the rumours start flying now…. or not.
