The peoples elbow will land anew on Ashley Judd in Tooth Fairy. We get word of her casting from our friends at comingsoon:
Ashley Judd is set to star with Dwayne Johnson in 20th Century Fox comedy Tooth Fairy, which starts shooting in Vancouver this October. Michael Lembeck is directing. Johnson plays a minor league hockey player nicknamed the Tooth Fairy. Judd plays his girlfriend, a single mother of two kids.
I’ m not sure why Johnson’s character is nicknamed the Tooth Fairy. Perhaps he’s rough on the ice, and he has a history of ripping teeth from the mouths of his opponents. That usually makes for the best Hockey, and would be a decent reason to have that nick name.
This certainly sounds like a romantic comedy to me, and I can’t say that I am enthused about The Rock doing this sort of film. Who knows, maybe he will surprise us all and prove to the world that this is what he was born to do. I personally think this guy should ditch acting all together and use his mic skills as a commentator.
