One of those unpopular moments that I actually think the Oscars got right was a couple of years ago when the brilliant film “Crash” won Best Picture over Brokeback Mountain (don’t get me wrong, Brokeback was a very good film, but in my opinion got massively over hyped due to it’s subject matter).
I think some people misunderstood Crash with its archetype characters set in a brothers Grimm like moralistic tale. Instead they looked at it as if it were supposed to be some sort of realistic drama. But that’s a discussion for another time and to each their own.
I came across this trailer today for what appears to be a TV series version of “Crash”. Looks terrible to me. It seems to be a hybrid of Crash and “The Office”. Via our friends over at InContenntion. Check it out:
