Sex And The City 2 Plot

I’m one of those people who never saw a single episode of Sex and the City when it was on TV. I guess that would be because I have a penis. But that didn’t stop me from going out to see the movie, and surprisingly enough I actually didn’t mind it too much. Despite having not seen a single episode, I didn’t feel lost, I was able to pick up exactly on what was happening and join right in with the story (very well written in that regard). The big problem with the movie to me was the sheer length. It went far too long for what it was and really started to feel dragged out. Overall, I liked it though.

But a Sex and the City 2? Seems to me they tied everything up with the first movie and there really is no where else to go. But considering the film made $388 million world wide, and considering the cast basically have nothing else to do, you knew, story or not, there was going to be another one.

Anyway, the franchises male lead, Chris Noth (Mr. Big) was talking at the National Movie Awards in London and dropped that there are plans for a Sex and the City 2, and that this time the film could take place in London. The good folks over at MonstersAndCritics give us this:

“He has some great ideas. I think it would be a great place to make it. If Woody Allen can make films in London, why can’t we?”

Chris also revealed he has some ideas for the storyline of the sequel, which would centre around ‘Mr. Big’ and Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw. He added: “Maybe Carrie and ‘Mr. Big’ could take their honeymoon here – maybe his business could move here or could bring him here and they could settle down.

Yeah, I agree that they should just let the franchise go. They seemed to end it well and it should just be left at that. But at the same time, this is the movie BUSINESS, and making a Sex and the City 2 would be like printing more money… so wouldn’t you do it?
