We have word today that the curvaceous Kat Dennings may have scored a role in Defendor, a film that appears to be about a crazy person who fancies himself a hero. We get the scoop from the asylum caves of Yahoo:
Kat Dennings, who stars in “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” which bowed in theaters this weekend, is in negotiations to join Woody Harrelson and Sandra Oh in “Defendor.”
Written by Peter Stebbings, who also is making his directorial debut, the film centers on a regular guy (Harrelson) who believes he has a secret superhero identity. Dennings will play a teenager he befriends, while Oh is cast as his psychiatrist.
Only in the movies could a teenage girl have a relationship with the town weirdo and everything work out ok. I’m not sure if Harrelson will really be a hero and prove everyone wrong at the end, or if the town will just learn to accept him for what he is. It certainly seems like a feel good film full of life lessons – but we will have to wait and see.
For all I know Woody may have a basement full of dead wrong doers and Ms. Dennings may be using him for all that corpse meat (in order to feed her vulture pet Scruffy).
We will be sure to fill you in on the details of this story, as they become available to us.
Right now it sounds like Hancock, without powers.
