We talk about adapting a film a lot around here. When something works in a comic or novel it rarely translates word for word on to the screen so some liberties are taken to ease the transition. Watchmen is one of those things where the translation was so faithful that it is oft considered by reviewers as its only fault. But what if they had adapted the graphic novel into a Saturday Morning Cartoon!!
This is a lot of fun as it pays tribute to late 80s kids shows, and when Saturday Morning was a ritual of sugared cereals and back to back to back cartoons til noon! But in order to make the Watchmen something kids could watch, it would have been more sugared down than my cereal.
