Movieweb sat down with the main cast of 17 Again and Zac Efron, Thomas Lennon, Leslie Mann, and Matthew chat it up about their experiences on set.
I am a sucker for these “live it over again” time-travel body switching type movies. So this movie already had my attention even though I was hesitant about Zac Efron.
I am already a big Matthew Perry fan – Whole Nine Yards is still hands down my all time favourite comedy. And Leslie Mann is always spot on perfect in everything she is in. Of course everything she is in tends to be her husband’s films, but at least she does it well instead of being that blemish of her “husband put her in this”.
The biggest surprise of this video is how I and digging Zac Efron. He doesn’t seem the dorky cheese acting kid from Highschool Musical. I guess I was expecting him to act just like his character in those movies, but amazingly enough he isn’t at all like him. I always held out for Zac Efron because he might not seem like much more than a Disney product right now, I really think that as he grows into this craft that he has a shot at out running the shadow of the Mouse.
Hearing the cast riff off about the Star Wars references in the film gives me a boy tickle, so I am all ready for this film.
