B.A. Baracus Cast Run Down: Who Should Wear The Mohawk In The A-Team Movie?

The news about the upcoming A-Team movie is now coming fast and furious… with Face cast (Bradley Cooper) and a possible Hannibal almost ready to sign (Liam Neeson) it leaves a few key cast members still a mystery. The biggest mystery is obviously the one casting decision everyone is most interested in seeing. Who will replace Mr. T as B.A. Baracus?!?!

With the mystery still in the air, and with me reading comments on the issue, I thought I’d throw together a list of possible B.A. Candidates for your consideration and give you a chance to vote on it (not that our poll will influence the producers at all).

So in order, here are my options for B.A. Baracus:

BA-Robert-Downey.jpg #1 – ROBERT DOWNEY JR.
ok ok ok… I’m just kidding. But one of the commenters left that as an option and I laughed… so you know I had to put it on this list. But if you think about it… Hollywood has done dumber things before.
BA-Terry-Crews.jpg #2 – TERRY CREWS
This is another name that comes to us from the comments section, and a name I hadn’t considered… but when I thought about it I LOVED the choice. Crews is huge, great comedic timing and has a strong screen presence. I loved him in Idiocracy too!
BA-Dwayne-Johnson.jpg #3 – DWAYNE JOHNSON
He obviously has to be on this list. He’s got all the charisma in the world, solid experience, a big frame, good comedy skills (let’s face it, B.A. was always funny) and I think would fit in well in this.
BA-Kimbo-Slice.jpg #4 – KIMBO SLICE
Ok, now normally I HATE it when movies give roles to non-actors… BUT… let’s be honest… the role of B.A. Baracus doesn’t take a lot of acting skill to play. I remember entire episodes of the A-Team where Mr. T. had maybe 1 or 2 lines for the whole hour. Kimbo LOOKS the part. And that might just be all they need.
BA-Rampage.jpg #5 – RAMPAGE JACKSON
Like I mentioned above, not a lot of acting talent needed for the role (well… I haven’t read the script, so maybe it does… but let’s assume for the moment that it doesn’t) and Rampage could bring a world of charisma and screen presence to it. Mean looking dude.
BA-Ving-Rhames.jpg #6 – VING RHAMES
How can he not be on the list? Big guy, terrific actor, can be extremely intimidating and is just pure awesome. My one hesitation about Ving is that he almost has too much of a sophisticated aura about him.
BA-Michael-Clarke-Duncan.jpg #7 – MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN
I’m a big Michael Clarke Duncan fan. Physically he’s great for the role, and talent wise he’s also a lock. However, as some people have pointed out I’m not sure he can pull off “Bad Ass”. He might be just too darn lovable.
BA-Djimon-Hounsou.jpg #8 – DJIMON HOUNSOU
Make no mistake about it, this is the best pure actor on the list, and don’t be fooled when his shirt is on… this is a big guy too. I’d certainly consider a guy like this… but when compared to the others on this list, I just don’t see him as good of a fit.

So there you have it guys. Who would you cast as B.A. from the guys on this list? Or, is there someone else you’d put in the running?
