Reese Witherspoon Joins “Pharm Girl”

Despite winning an Oscar it still seems like Reese Witherspoon doesn’t get a lot of love. I’ll be honest, I really enjoy her work. Not that all her movies are good, but I find her to be a really solid performer and I generally look forward to seeing whatever she’s in.

It’s being reported that Universal is gearing up a project for her to both produce and star in called “Pharm Girl”. The good folks at Dark Horizons give us this:

The project centers on a woman (Reese Witherspoon) who gets a job at a pharmaceutical powerhouse but begins to see the underbelly of the industry as she rises through the company’s ranks. “Bad Santa” and “I Love You Philip Morris” writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are penning the screenplay and in talks to direct.

The description of the movie makes it sound like some sort of political drama… but the title clearly makes it out to be a comedy of some sorts. Neither of which really appeal to me at the moment. But like I said, enjoy Witherspoons work, so I’ll give it a shot.
