Rodriguez says No Schwarzenegger in Predators

With Arnold Schwarzenegger making a cameo in this year’s Terminator Salvation, and talk about Robert Rodriguez’ proposed Predators film not being a remake, it was only natural that the internet would jump to conclusions and birth the rumour that Rodriguez was talking to Arnie about taking part.

But Robert clears the air for us. He hasn’t talked to Arnie at all about it.

Boody Disgusting quotes Rodriguez:

“Online news is amazing, much more exciting than real life!
There are so many sites saying that I’m actively pursuing Arnold!
Feels like all i have to do is sit here, and let the websites do the work!

Actually, what probably happened is someone conjured that up because of my 1994 draft, that had Dutch as a main character. And then it probably just built from there.

But no, we’re still writing a new script, and although I know Arnold personally and he’s the coolest person on the planet, I have not contacted him about this at all at this time.
As promised, I’ll keep you posted on such developments since Predator is such a fan favorite.

So there you have it right from the horse’s mouth. As of right now there will be no Arnie in Predator.

Of course as time goes on, who knows if they dont work in a cameo or at least have a character name drop “Dutch” suggesting that they might have been wrong about that kook they locked up on terrorist charges for igniting a nuclear weapon killing his squad, and blaming it on an Alien trophy hunter.

    1. that sounds good, but how would it work out, would it be a seprequel (sequel and prequel together like terminator salvation) or just an out and out sequel or totally new storyline?
