David And Courteney Cox-Arquette Doing Scream 4

Thirsty? Well let’s all go back to the well one more time! Yeeehaaaa! Get ready to scream again. There have been rumors and false hopes for years now about a possible “Scream 4″ film. Just last year there were a few false alarms. Still… the studio hasn’t given up on the franchise and kept pursuing options to get a fourth installment made. Today marked the first time one of the actual major players has confirmed that things are moving forward.

Both David And Courteney Cox-Arquette have confirmed that they are coming back to do Scream 4 and at the same time mention that neither director Wes Craven nor series star Neve Campbell have at this point agreed to come back, although they say they hope they both do. They also mention the script is being written as we speak.

The question is… what’s the point of doing the script if Neve Campbell hasn’t agreed to come back to the franchise yet? Do you make her part small in case she doesn’t do it and can write her out easily? For that matter what’s the point of doing Scream 4 without her?

Or for that matter… what’s the point of doing Scream 4 at all?!?! (source: Movie Web)
