I’m a Jim Carrey fan. Yes, sometimes his schtick gets a little tired… yes “The Number 23” was one of the biggest piles of shit movies I’ve seen in recent memory… yes he’s not quite the performer he once was… but he’s still Jim Carrey and I think he’s one of the most charismatic entertainers in Hollywood today (and yes I’m a little biased since he’s a good Canadian boy to boot).
I have been very interested in this new movie of his coming out called “I Love You Phillip Morris” that he appearing in with Ewan McGregor. The synopsis sounds amazing: “Based on the real life events of con artist, impostor, and multiple prison escapee Steven Jay Russell (Jim Carrey). While incarcerated, Russell falls in love with his cell mate, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). After Morris is released from prison, Russell escapes from prison four times in order to be reunited with Morris.”
