The official plot synopsis for Tron Legacy has made its way online, and finally we get some insight into why Jeff Bridges appears to be present as a young Flynn in game as well as a matured version of himself.
Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
The website FlynnLives.com offers a breakdown of all the promotional materials that will get deep into just what happened after Flynn retires from his Encon job and his mysterious disappearance (which is explained in Tron Legacy)
Its a pretty interesting read, but something that is likely to be summed up in a line or two in the film. At least it tides us over until the movie comes out.
