Joss Whedon is my master. And now he will be producing a Documentary about the SanDiego Comic Con experience, and has teamed up with Mr. Super-Size Me himself, Morgun Spurlock.
E! Online is reporting Super-Size Me director Morgun Spurlock is teaming-up with writer/director Joss Whedon for a documentary about San Diego Comic-Con. They’re currently searching for people to follow around for about three months leading up to this year’s Comic-Con where they will also be filmed. They’re looking for all types of people so you don’t have to worry if you’re Geek-Cred is not up to par.
I have yet to attend the geek mecca (preferring the far more accessible Toronto Fan Expo instead) but in recent years, the insanity of long lineups and over crowded aisles have made it less and less appealing to make the trip.
More and more the event has been about all things entertainment related, and not just Comics, which of course broadened its appeal, but I honestly can’t see any reason to go to this event knowing I would be facing shoulder packed facilities and hours long waits to see what people will bootleg onto youtube a day later.
Maybe a Whedon Documentary about how cool it is and why it cannot be missed will change my mind.
