Ok, this came across my email this morning, and its just silly enough to look like a lot of fun.
Cornholing.
No, not that you dirty bastidges. The bean bag toss game of Cornhole that has been made into an independent film mockumentary about people competing in this very simple game of tossing a bean bag into a hole in a board.
Cornhole the Movie’s Official website gives us the scoop:
Cornhole: The Movie follows four teams on their way to the National Cornhole Championship, an annual competition that rallies together a wildly diverse cast of characters all intent on the same thing: taking home the coveted Bronze Sack.
The sales pitch guy Stew reminds me an awful lot of Jason Bateman, and the news caster looks like a younger Jeff Bridges.
But overall, this looks like a well put together indie film with some laughs revolving around this non-sport Sport of Cornhole. Kind of like Dodgeball.
No word on screenings or if this will make its way to DVD, but I for one would like to give it a shot!
