Looks like Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds) is being courted by two different studios to star in big budget comic book films. He is rumoured to be up for roles in both X-Men First Class as well as Sony’s Spider-Man Reboot.
Matthew Vaughn is apparently interested in having Fassbender play a young Magneto in X-Men: First Class, while Sony is keen on signing the actor up as the new villain in the Spider-Man reboot
I could see Fassbender as a younger Magneto, I just wonder if he can channel the presence needed to deliver a younger Erik.
But that he is also being pursued to be the Spider-Man baddie too? Another Goblin faceoff? I would think that they would avoid that for the first time out. I’d like to see an updated Mysterio which I think Fassbender would bring a unique feel to.
