Peter Jackson Negotiates To Direct The Two Hobbit Movies

Big news updated here. The One Ring has fallen into the right hands once again. After numerous hurdles and hiccups, Middle Earth at last finds peace. Why? Peter Jackson is in negotiations to direct both Hobbit films. Yes!

CinemaBlend reports:

Peter Jackson is in negotiation to direct both parts of The Hobbit.

The news comes from Deadline Hollywood, where they say bringing Jackson on as a director was the only way the two movies would be ready to start shooting by the end of the year. Presumably this will swiftly bring the film the greenlight that Jackson has repeatedly said it’s missing, and the returning cast and new actors will fall in line as well.

This is great news; specially to start the weekend. I was at ease when Del Toro was directing these films with Jackson helping him out. After Del Toro left, there was no question that for these films to be at the same level of awesomeness as the LOTR trilogy, it would have to Jackson on the director’s chair. And the gods of cinema apparently heard the millions of cries from Middle Earth followers, because all is well once again.

Jackson belongs in Middle Earth. Middle Earth belongs to Jackson. Now I’m more excited for these films.

What do you guys think?
