Who hasn’t grabbed a short stick, or toilet paper tube and just thought for half a second how cool it would be to hold on to it and lean forward as a motorcycle formed around you and you race off? No? Just me? I doubt it.
Well Parker Brothers Custom Cycles have put up a $35000 price tag so you could own your very own Lightcycle replica. And it would be gas or electric engine, and street legal!
The Parker Brothers, who specialize in custom choppers, are building five custom lightcycles to the exact specs of the movie bikes—only these will be street-legal. Since the lightcycles Disney designers built are only movie props of the bike and not actual working models, these will be the only known running versions to exist.
You’ll have to act fast, though—the auction ends Friday, July 2.
I gather this is not the same Brothers Parker who specialize in family friendly board games.
I think it would be just awesome to ride one of these puppies. And I would be eager to see the finished product and how close they get to actually making it look like a LightCycle.
