In the long running tradition of Jack Ryan stories, a new actor is set to take on the role. This time it will be Chris Pine who is doing it, but the movie was said to be delayed perhaps indefinitely.
But it looks like there is some movement there, and Pine is reportedly starting filming early next year for the next chapter.
The new film is titled Moscow, produced by Lorenzo di Bonuventura and written by Hossein Amini and Adam Cozad, and will go into production “late winter/spring early next year,” according to di Bonuventura
I have never been that big a fan of the Tom Clancy stuff. But I think that Pine has the stuff to pull off the character, so its a good move.
Also, delays might have meant problems for future projects of his and I am itching for a new Star Trek, so getting his stuff on the road is good news for everyone!
