Julie Bowen is both a gourgeous woman and a great actress. She’s become a veteran in the TV world; doing shows like Party of Five, Ed, ER, Lost, etc. Most recently she earned (so glad for her) an Emmy nomination for her work on the ABC comedy Modern Family. Now, news comes that she’s been tapped for two new movie roles…
Variety reports that Bowen has taken separate roles in two upcoming films. Coming first will be the comedy Horrible Bosses, which co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis, Jamie Foxx and Charlie Day. In the film, Bowen will play the wife to Kevin Spacey character, Bateman’s boss who is described as “a master manipulator with an attractive wife.” The next project will be Jumping the Broom, in which the actress will play a stressed wedding planner in a film about two African-American families begrudgingly come together on Martha’s Vinyard.
I’m really glad for her. She’s been doing great TV jobs for almost a decade now. Her nomination for Modern Family is pure awesome. Being a fan of the show myself, I thought she might be cast to the shadows because of the show’s great acting all over the place. But it seems, she’s receiving her due attention. I’m excited for her two new movie roles; in Horrible Bosses she’ll be part of a great cast with big names, and with Jumping The Broom, she’ll get to shine by herself thanks to the story. I hope that she starts getting more and more roles in the movie industry.
What do you guys think?
