Entourage To End And Head To The Big Screen

HBO’s Entourage is in the midst of it’s seventh season. One of the network’s most popular shows ever, is apparently already planning it’s endgame. Entourage’s end might be sooner than most think. And a big screen follow-up is also closer than most believe.

IGN reports:

At the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, HBO programming president Michael Lombardo divulged some details on the fate of Entourage, one of the network’s most popular shows.

According to Lombardo, the series is reaching its end, with creator/head writer Doug Ellin currently devising a way to wrap up the adventures of Vince, Eric, Turtle, and Drama.

“We’re not clear on an exact number, (but we’ll) do a shorter order next season to finish up. We talked about six. Doug is appropriately reserving, before he actually commits- he clearly wants to write a film, but he also wants to do it when the storytelling makes sense. So he clearly is thinking about how the show will end.”

I love Entourage; I’ve watched every episode. That said, I believe it’s starting to get a little to numb. Hopefully putting an endgame, a la Lost, will help the plot in many ways. Entourage has always been to me, the guys version of Sex And The City. I will enjoy what’s left of it, and I’ll definitely watch the movie if they make it after the show ends.

You guys like Entourage? You want it to end already? Would you watch Ari and crew on the bi screen? What would you like the movie to focus on; any ideas?
