Although Jonah Hex was slammed by critics, and basically sucked at the box office, there’s no stopping Josh Brolin’s career. Regardless of that movie, this guy is full of charisma and has the acting chops to back it up. Here’s what he might be doing next.
According to Showbiz 411’s Roger Friedman, who is frequently right about these things, Brolin is considering a lead role in Young Adult, the project that will reunite Juno writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman with Charlize Theron starring. Theron will play an author of young adult novels who suffers a divorce and returns to her hometown to stalk her old high school boyfriend, who is now married with kids.
This sounds really good. I like the premise, and I specially like the possible team-up of Cody/Reitman and Theron/Brolin. This could be a great, charming comedy. I hope he takes the role. We haven’t seen both Theron and Brolin flex their comedy skills on the big screen. Might be a good time for that next.
