Teen pop star, Justin Bieber, is coming soon to a cinema near you. Apparently, he will star as himself in the film. One that will tell how he rose to current stardom heights. Behold the Bieber trend!
Deadline just broke some exclusive news: the fast times of Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber will be hitting the big screen in 2011, in none other than eye-popping 3D.
Only sixteen years old, Bieber has risen to fame as a pop/R&B superstar, raking in more views on Youtube than any other artist. Fresh-faced and still in the midst of puberty, Bieber will play himself in this feature-length Paramount flick that documents the story of his life. The film, produced by Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid, will include recorded segments from Bieber’s current tour amongst other crucial Bieber moments of his short but very wealthy existence.
The director of An Inconvenient Truth, Davis Guggenheim, is in negotiations to direct this untitled project, which is set for a February 11, 2011 release.
I guess we can count this one as being a huge sign that the Apocalypse is actually pretty near, no? Seriously, I don’t know which one is worse. That he, at 16 years of age, will star in his own biopic? That a director like Guggenheim, who’s got an awesome track record, has decided to do this? Or that the movie itself will be in 3D? I’ll let you guys devour this one…
Do you want a 90 minute film about Bieber’s 16 years of life? Are you pumped up to see this in 3D?
