Back around April, we got news that Ryan Reynolds joined the zombie cop film, R.I.P.D. The story centers around Nick Cruz, a cop who was murdered in the prime of his life. He agrees to serve 100 years with the R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department) if they’ll help him find his killer. So who’s going to direct Reynolds in this film?
A source over at Pajiba is reporting that director McG is currently in negotiation to direct the film about two dead cops who work in the police department for the dead. The project would be McG’s follow up to This Means War, starring Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon, which is scheduled to start filming on September 13, according to Production Weekly’s twitter feed.
Ryan Reynolds is one busy duded. Like my wife said once, he’s got the looks and he’s got the talent. I agree with her, so I’m glad he’s a busy duded. That said, R.I.P.D. (Rest in Peace Department) sounds like an interesting, fun idea for a film. What I’m not sure about is having McG directing. I don’t hate the guy, nor I hate all of his movies. Quite the contrary, I don’t mind his work. But regarding this particular idea, I’m just not that excited about it if he’s directing.
What about you? You want him to direct Reynolds in this zombie cop film?
