International Friend A.Hoy (no really that’s his name!) sent me a link to this film that was featured at the South by Southwest Film Festival and I have to say it looks AWESOME!
The premise is pure genius. Everyone is tired of the same old “drunk hot college kids go camping and get slashed up by derranged rednecks” but what happens when those rednecks are not hankering for your brains and it just looks like they are?
Yup. Kids get themselves killed.
Yes, I know this came out over a year ago, but I didn’t catch it at all and it looks like it still doesn’t have a distributor (though IMDB says Netherlands is getting it in 2011)
How can this much awesome go un-noticed for so long? I missed it getting promoted for SXSW, and its not even getting a direct to DVD release?
Alan Tudyk is awesome, and so is Tyler Labine. And this film looks hillarious and fresh in a genre already beaten to death.
I hope eventually this comes out!
