Looks like Henry Cavill will get some veteran star power to back up his lead role in The Cold Light of Day – a kidnapping thriller from Intrepid pictures and Summit Entertainment.
Bruce Willis has signed on to play the Tudors star’s father, while Sigourney Weaver is in final talks to be the villain in this political charged thriller.
The story centers on a cocky young Wall Street trader who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel the secrets of his father (Willis) in order to save his loved ones.
Weaver would play the villain.
With Willis playing the main character’s father I wonder exactly how much involvement the aging action star would play in this film.
Also, there have been very few female villains who have the presence to pull off this kind of badguy role, but I have a lot of faith in Weaver’s ability, so I am holding my breath on this one.
