In a recent interview with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the question arose again that once he is done with his political run as Governor, what would be next? His first reply was that he wanted to continue his environmental work, but when pressed he didn’t deny that he could get back into acting.
“It could very well be that this would be the main thing,” he said of his new career, adding: “It could also be that it would be one of five things that I would do. It could be show-business. It could be business in general.”
So he isn’t saying he WILL return to acting, but he isn’t discarding the idea either.
Aside from wanting to see a True Lies 2, I honestly do not have any need to see Schwarzenegger on the big screen again. He is getting too old and too out of shape to pull off a convincing action star – at least the kind that he has been in the past. He is already 63, and should he get back into acting we likely wouldnt see him on screen for years.
Unless he completely reinvents himself, acting is less likely to work for the Governator. Futhermore, he has become too political and too involved in his causes to just let them go. I predict he might do bit parts for the fun of it, but devote the bulk of his time to more meaningful pursuits.
