Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America have all been leading up to the big culmination of seeing The Avengers realized on screen with an ensemble cast of established characters forming one massive team.
And with Iron Man 3 set to be the first Marvel film to deal with the aftermath of the events of such a film, it makes sense that Marvel is considering the movie to be somewhat of a sequel to The Avengers.
Jon Favreau shares how he feels about being a part of the Marvel experience and what Iron Man 3 holds.
I like how Favs is just stuck on pause waiting to hear how the other films are coming together and what The Avengers might hold and respects how it is all part of the plan to have a Marvel Universe, and not isolated solo titles that have nothing to do with one another.
It gets me excited to see films actually come together like the comic books do. The crossovers and guest appearances really made the Marvel world feel vast and connected all at the same time, and I can’t wait to see what they do with Thor and Cap next year, but ultimately I am itching for Whedon’s Avengers.
