I haven’t read George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones, but it has a respected following that seemed happy to hear the book series of political intrigue and medieval power struggles would become and HBO ongoing series instead of a film. Apparently there is so much that goes on, that a movie just couldn’t do it justice.
And now after seeing the trailer, we get a peek behind the scenes with a featurette:
Purists are already surfacing to point out the inconsistencies with the novel series and this TV series, but I dare to remind people that this is an ADAPTATION of the book to screen.
By very definition the word Adaptation means that there will be changes. If the series stands on its own and is good, I have no issue with the changes, but I may be more indifferent to changes because I haven’t read the books.
