Pirates 5 and 6 are Being Filmed Back to Back

It looks like the return of Captain Jack Sparrow will be the first of a new trilogy.

RamaScreen shares:

The upcoming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES won’t the final Jack Sparrow adventure! Because according to HitFix, Disney is definitely planning for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 and 6 and just like the 2nd (Dead Man’s Chest) and 3rd (At World’s End) movie, these two will also be shot back-to-back and will be released as two films.

Now I just loved the crap out of the first Pirates movie, and while the followups had thier moments, they never really measured up in my opinion. But still I am looking forward to seeing the franchise return.

Will this next chapter be awesome and have two lackluster followups? Will they all be awesome? Will they all suck?

I am just going to take this all one step at a time. I am looking forward to On Stranger Tides!
