With MGM’s financial woes leaving only the biggest properties peeking their heads above water, projects like The Farrelly Brother’s Three Stooges were faced with delays and uncertainty.
But now it looks like Fox will be sweeping in to the rescue to develop the film.
WorstPreviews says:
“The Three Stooges” was another victim of MGM’s financial troubles, but now comes word that 20th Century Fox is interested in the property and will begin production on March 14th.
While they expect the Farrelly Brothers to stay on board to direct, the cast have all pretty much walked away.
Who knows if they will try and get Sean Penn, Jim Carrey and Bencio Del Toro back as Lary Curlie and Moe. They have a pretty small window before production starts to get their cast in order.
