Anne Francis Dead

Classic film actress Anne Francis, best remembered from Forbidden Planet, has passed away.

The Associated Press remembers:

Actress Anne Francis, who was the love interest in the 1950s science-fiction classic “Forbidden Planet” and later was sexy private eye in “Honey West” on TV, has died at age 80.

I think Forbidden Planet is one of the truly great science fiction epics of the 1950s, giving us fantastic performances from both Francis and Leslie Nielsen, in a disguised retelling of The Tempest. She was also fun as TV detective “Honey West.”
