The logo for Johnny Depp and someone else in an adpatation of The Lone Ranger has hit the net, and I just love it.
The original Lone Ranger was in black and white, and I love how they play against that classic imagery for this.
Alongside this image, the tagline reads “The Legend Returns” but I don’t know if they are referring to a plot point in the movie (will this be like Mask of Zorro) or are they referring to the marketing as they try to bring the classic character to a new generation.
The image also shows a smaller version of the logo with a full colour scarlet sunset sky as a backdrop to the classic black and white logo. Perhaps the logos will be released in a slowly evolving presentation from black and white to colour – just as the old TV show did.
I hope it stays this style though.
