The plot for a new Toy Story short has leaked online. A listing for the book ‘Play-cation!’ (published by Random House/Disney) appeared on Amazon, and in its description, mentions that it’s based on the new Toy Story short. It’ll probably be a traditional Pixar short, running before the main feature, in this case Cars 2.
Bonnie is off to Hawaii, and Barbie and Ken are excited to go along on their first tropical vacation! But when they’re accidentally left behind, it’s up to Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys to create a Hawaiian paradise right in Bonnie’s room.
Based on the latest animated short featuring the toys from Disney/Pixar Toy Story, this full-color storybook includes punch-out postcards that girls and boys ages 3-7 will love sending to their friends!
I’m glad we get to see the toys again. I definitely shed a tear or two during Toy Story 3, as I grew up with those characters, had the toys and wore the liscenced t-shirts (I’m just 19, Its normal!) I was thrilled to see the next Pixar short would revisit the toys in their new home, but at the same time, I’m kind of disapointed we won’t be getting another mindblowing original short (Day & Night, I’m looking at you.)
I had decided I wasn’t going to go see Cars 2 (I didn’t see the first one based on my long standing belief that a cars eyes are it’s headlights and anything else is a perversion! Seriously though, I just heard it wasn’t fantastic…. and really didnt like those eyes) but now, it seems Pixar have dragged me in.
