January Jones was interviewed by Herocomplex about her role as Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men prequel. The ‘Mad Men‘ beauty talks about her role in the film, her take on her character and of course, the famous costume.
The movie, she says, although set in the 60’s, doesn’t feel like a period piece “..I read the script and familiarized myself with the character of Emma Frost. She’s so, so far from Betty and from ‘Mad Men,’ and it takes place in that time but it doesn’t feel like a period movie.” And she seems like she’s done her homework, diving into old comics to learn the character. When asked about her costume, she had this to say.
A quote from January
”The costumes are insane, it’s a lot of very body-conscious stuff. If you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed. She’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.”
And of her role in the film.
“I’m riding around in helicopters, I’m in a boat one day, I’m in all these fight sequences, we’re all over the English countryside, I feel like I’m a kid playing mutant.”
Good to get more insight into the film, and hopefully its a lot better then X-Men Oranges: Tangerine. ‘First Class’ has about a month of filming left, and opens in june. I’m dying for a trailer to be released!
