Some details have surfaced about Tron Legacy coming to DVD despite not having an official date.
There will be a five-disc Blu-ray set that includes Tron: Legacy, the original Tron, Digital Copies for both movies and the 3D version of Tron: Legacy. The five-disc set also comes with collectible Identity Disc packaging. There will also be a four-disc set for Tron: Legacy, which includes the Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy, a four-disc two-movie collection, two-disc Blu-ray/DVD set and the standard DVD.
Recently it was announced that copies of Tron on DVD were becoming rare in anticipation for the release of the film, and as expected they re-release it with the collectors set so you can get the original film and Tron Legacy on one collectors set.

I do like that they are offering the 3D Bluray version for those who have invested in 3D TVs with the standard Bluray as well. Gives you options without making you re-purchase the movie in 3D if you upgrade later.
I know I will be buying the full set with the original and all the trimmings. Its good to see these sets being offered right out of the gate instead of releasing the film and waiting six months to Lucas with a collectors edition.
