Lindsay Lohan offered Manson, Superman roles?

Lindsay Lohan has suddenly gotten to be something of a hot ticket in the past weekend, having two film offers come her way. Sadly, both a rumored role in the Superman reboot and the possibility of her playing murdered actress Sharon Tate might be derailed if she does jail time for her alleged shoplifting offense. Monsters & Critics fills us in on the Helter Skelter side of things:

Actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly beenlined up to play Roman Polanski’s murdered wife in a new film about cult leader Charles Manson.

The movie, entitled Eyes Of A Dreamer, will be made by one of the producers behind serial killer film Monster.

It is a little alarming, not due to Lohan being considered, but due to the fact that the film is going to me made by one of those folks who helped produce Monster, which made the real life serial killer appear sympathetic -and got praised for it. Still, I’m not opposed to seeing Lindsay possibly looking for tougher roles to… eh? What’s that?

Supeyman?
Someone say Supeyman? Okay, *this* could be cause for alarm…
Monsters & Critics one more time:

Lindsay Lohan may have missed out on the coveted role of Lois Lane in the new Superman film but she’s still in the running for a role as a villain, according to reports.

The troubled actress was edged out of what could have been a major comeback role by Doubt star Amy Adams. But according to Radaronline.com, the 24-year-old Mean Girls actress is due to read in front of producers for another role in the much-anticipated movie.

Take that with a grain of salt and a speck of sugar, for the rumormill also notes one Man Of Steel foe is Lex Luthor, which loosely flies in the face of the General Zod/Ursa reports that have floated around for the last few months. (Some sites even report that it’s General Lane activating Metallo.)

Despite Ms Lohan’s emo trips and party ways, the young actress has a lot of talent. I am in her comeback corner. If The Superman gig is legit and she plays a Mean Girl, I hope she gets really nasty because – while I don’t consider myself a ‘die hard’ fanboy when it comes to comics to live action, I don’t need to tell the lot of you that Ms Lohan will be under such a microscope. If anything, and I mean anything, goes wrong with Man Of Steel and she’s in it? Lookout and back up LL. This was your only warning.

Now, as far as the Manson film goes, I see that as more risky and also something to be a bit more serious. In any case, if the judge tosses her back in the cell, both roles are in doubt.

What do you think int’ friends? Would you like to see Lohan in Man Of Steel or Eyes Of A Dreamer- and if the latter, as Sharon Tate…or Patricia Krenwinkel (one of the Manson family?) Or…is she just done?

  1. That would be a pretty cool plot for the new Superman movie; the Kryptonian criminals arrive on Earth to enslave, the government thinking the three could overwhelm the Man of Steel, decide to activate Metallo.

  2. I enjoy Lindsay Lohan despite her recent behavior. I feel that she needs to take on different types of roles to prove herself. I think she did ‘machete’ was a good start.

Sometimes the most troubled actors have the most life experience to draw their emotions from.

  3. Say what you wanna say about her not-so-private lifestyle, I think she’s talented. I hope she comes back strong
AND I love that photo you posted!

Let Polanski have his way with her (not literally) and keep her away from Supe’s.

    my 2 cents

    1. 402, I also think Lindsay is talented, don’t get me wrong. I want her to have a bit of a comeback too. But she also needs to get her stuff together. Another trip before The Judge isn’t doing her any favors.

The pic was from a promo shot of Machete.

      1. I agree that she’s her own worst enemy at this point. But if she isn’t in jail and able to work, let her work. We all have our own personal baggage and mistakes that we drag around with us daily. Luckily our bosses don’t see the crap we do when we’re off work and judge us by it, cause we’d all be out of work if that was the case.
