RUMOR: Faora will battle the Man of Steel

The Superman reboot is getting as much, if not more, interest in the cast of characters and story than even Chris Nolan’s next Batman as news continues to sizzle surrounding what Zack Snyder actually has planned for our favorite Kryptonian. Today the word on the net is that Faora will be kicking some tail in the new movie and Krypton won’t be Crystal.

  • You will see JOR-EL and his wife, Lara.
  • Daniel Day-Lewis was looked at for JOR-EL and not the villain.
  • Krypton will not be a crystal planet like the Donner film; this Krypton will PROBABLY look like the Coruscant skyline from Star Wars. (See image below)
  • The Kryptonian villainess is not URSA…Well sort of. The villainess is FAORA.
  • Don’t know who Faora is? Shame on you. Don’t worry, I already did the Wiki legwork:

She was a beautiful Kryptonian woman whose unexplained hatred for men led her to torture and kill 23 men at a secret concentration camp in her home. For this, she was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone to complete a sentence of 300 Kryptonian years, the second longest term after Jax-Ur.[5][6] Ironically this allowed her to survive her homeworld’s destruction, along with the other Phantom Zone prisoners, albeit in an invisible ghostlike form.

Daniel Day-Lewis could easily make an outstanding Jor-El and would shape up nicely compared to Superman’s earth parents. Also, this isn’t confirmed I’m gonna take a gamble in that we finally have some clarification as to what part that Diane Kruger and others auditioned for. I’m still on the fence about the idea of Superman battling other Kryptonians. The little boy in me still hopes that this will still somehow allude to Doomsday no matter how unrealistic but I guess I’d be cool with a Kryptonian hatchet-woman.
