The wild rumour of the day is that Joss Whedon’s Doctor Horrible scarlet songstress and former Buffy alum Felicia Day has been cast as Special Agent Abigail Brand in the upcoming Avengers.
Actress Felicia Day has reportedly joined the cast of The Avengers as S.W.O.R.D. agent Abigail Brand. The actress was added to the movie’s IMDB page, although it has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios that the actress has been cast.
If this casting is true, I am not only fascinated and encouraged that Felicia Day is in the role, but more importantly that they may be including the special focus team of SWORD. S.W.O.R.D. is an off-shoot of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel comic books, which stands for Sentient World Observation and Response Department that specializes in alien invasion intervention.
Involving SWORD adds weight to the idea that this may involve a Kree/Skrull war plotline.
I wonder what Felicia would look like with green hair?
